Making Wishes
come true
At Grace Hospice, we believe in celebrating the moments that matter most. Our Touch of Grace program is designed to honor each individual by helping fulfill meaningful wishes; big or small. Through this program, our compassionate and creative team works to bring special requests to life, creating moments of joy, connection, and lasting memories for patients and their loved ones.
Touches of grace:
A patient wished he could enjoy a steak dinner downtown with his wife. Staff members arranged a town car and brought the patient and his wife to a downtown fine-dining restaurant for a wonderful meal.
A big Minnesota Twins fan and patient of Grace Hospice wished to be able to visit with Wally McNeil, better known as “Wally the Beer Man,” a fan favorite at baseball games for many years. Staff arranged the visit and their time was filled with jokes and laughter.
A grandmother and patient wished she could attend the wedding of her granddaughter. Grace Hospice medical staff helped make this possible. Care staff arranged transportation and helped her dress and primp for the wedding. She experienced a burst of energy, attended the wedding, and looked radiant.
A patient was in a double room and the window was not near her bed. Staff visited her often and several times suggested she might like a television, which she always declined. A Grace staff member was traveling to Wisconsin and would be near the childhood home of this patient. She located the home and took photos. The staff bought a digital photo frame for her house photos and added other scenic and comforting pictures. The frame was mounted on the wall where she could enjoy the changing images.
